Sathya Society of America
The Sathya Sai Society of America, a charitable, tax-exempt 501(c) (3) corporation, was established in 1969. Funds received by the Sathya Sai Society of America are used for educational, medical, disaster relief and other humanitarian projects, carried out by the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO). Details of the humanitarian service projects of the SSSIO are published periodically in Sri Sathya Sai Universe and Sri Sathya Sai Humanitarian Relief at throughout the year.
The directors of Sathya Sai Society of America volunteer their time and take no remunerations. Virtually all donations received are used exclusively for charitable purposes.
Funds are never solicited by the Sathya Sai Society of America from devotees of Sri Sathya Sai Baba or from the public, at any venue, through any medium or by any individual. Moreover, no payment is expected or sought in return for services rendered at any function, gathering, service project, educational project or devotional enterprise conducted under the name of Sathya Sai Baba. This is a formal policy followed by the Sathya Sai Society of America. It is an official, non-profit organization that receives voluntary contributions from generous individuals in the United States of America who desire to support humanitarian services throughout the world.
